Bat House is a documented trial in the K’iche’ Maya Popol Vuh. Christenson’s translation describes a house filled with deadly bats with blade-like snouts; the Hero Twins hide inside their blowguns, and Hunahpu is later decapitated by a death bat when he looks out. AURYN treats this jewellery graphic as Bat House–inspired. The story is historically documented, but the exact commercial engraving has not yet been authenticated as a canonical ancient Maya glyph, and AURYN does not present Camazotz as the proven “ruler” of this specific design.
